Beautiful Simssee Lake is located 8 km to the east of Rosenheim. Follow the beautiful path through untouched nature along the shore. In summer, 3 neat bathing areas invite you to jump into the cool water. Do not forget your bathing suit!

 
Hochries: Hiking

The Hochries (1,569 m) is Rosenheim's local peak. It offers breathtaking views across Rosenheim's surroundings, the river Inn, the area around Lake Chiemsee and the Central Alps. Take the chairlift to the middle station and continue up to the peak by cable car.
Wendelstein: Climb
up and look down

Wendelstein mountain (1,838) offers one of Germany's most beautiful views. In 25 minutes, the rack railway takes you from the bottom station in Brannenburg to the top of the mountain. The cable car starting in the nearby Bayrischzell only needs 7 minutes to take you to the top. At Wendelstein GEO-Park, you will be able to explore 250 million years of geology.
