The Hochries (1569 m) is Rosenheim’s local mountain and offers an overwhelming view of the Rosenheim Landscape, the River Inn, the Chiemsee region and the Central Alps. From Grainbach, one can take a ski lift to the middle station, from where a cable car will transport you to the summit in a few minutes.
The Wendelstein (1838 m) offers some of the most spectacular views in all of Germany. The rack railway departs from Brannenburg and reaches the upper terminal in 25 minutes.
