Alpine Skiing
Ski slopes of varying degrees of difficulty can be found in Wendelstein, Kampenwand and Sachrang, as well as in Hochries, Hocheck/Oberaudorf and Sudelfeld. Sudelfeld is part of the largest interconnected ski regions in Upper Bavaria, having 22 ski tow and ski lifts.

Hiking

Simssee
The beautiful Simssee lies 8 km to the east of Rosenheim. A well-constructed boardwalk leads one from Baierbach through landscape of virgin forest, fields and moors. In summer, 3 manicured bathing sites in Baierbach, Ecking and Pietzing invite one to swim. We recommend that you bring you swimming costume with you! www.simssee.org 

Hiking on the Hochries
The Hochries (1569 m) is Rosenheim’s local mountain and offers an overwhelming view of the Rosenheim Landscape, the River Inn, the Chiemsee region and the Central Alps. From Grainbach, one can take a ski lift to the middle station, from where a cable car will transport you to the summit in a few minutes.

Climbing the Wendelstein
The Wendelstein (1838 m) offers some of the most spectacular views in all of Germany. The rack railway departs from Brannenburg and reaches the upper terminal in 25 minutes. Chiemsee: Hiking, Cycling or Swimming
The Chiemsee is the largest and one of the most beautiful lakes in the foothills of the Alps. Cycling, hiking, boating, swimming – the offer is huge! Guided hikes -herbal, full day or evening hikes can be arranged by telephoning 08051 / 9 65 55-0. The departure point for most of these activities is usually Prien.

Adventure Hike, Samerberg
The high mountain valley in the southern part of Rosenheim is a true Eldorado for hikers. It remained hidden from the outside world for a long time and has retained its original character.
